Typical Oracle Configuration in a VCS Cluster

In a typical configuration, VCS is configured in a two-system cluster (System 1 and System 2). The data to be used by Oracle is installed on shared storage. The Oracle binaries can be installed locally on both nodes or on shared disks. The Oracle enterprise agent is installed on both systems.

In the configuration depicted in the illustration below, Oracle binaries and data are installed completely on shared disks.
