Installation of this program on a Sun machine, running SunOs; and with 
X11R5 properly installed, should be fairly straightforward.

Unpack the tar file into a private directory. Then:

xmkmf
make depend
make install
make install.man

This will install xperfmon+ into /usr/bin/X11 with suid root.
It will also install XPerfmon.ad into /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/XPerfmon and
xperfmon+.man into /usr/man/mann/xperfmon+.n
